CASE CLOSED. On September 17, 2015, the Norman Fire Department responded to 3411 Charleston Road at approximately 4 a.m. for a commercial fire alarm. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a large fire in the office area of the structure.
During their investigation into the fire, the Norman Fire Marshal’s Office recovered video footage of a suspicious vehicle with a male subject inside pulling up to the building only moments before the fire incident. The vehicle is described as a late model, dark-colored SUV or pick-up with a camper shell. The driver is a heavy set male who is seen on video surveying the property before driving into the parking area of the business. After parking, the male subject exits the driver side of his vehicle and then proceeds to the north side of the building. Only seconds later, flames can be seen coming from the building as the male subject runs back to his vehicle and leaves the scene of the incident.
If you have any information about this male subject or the fire incident, please call the Office of the Fire Marshal at 405-292-9780 or Crime Stoppers at 405-366-7867. As always, you can remain anonymous and any information that leads to an arrest may qualify you for a reward.
