Help Identify This Assault Suspect: CLOSED!

CASE CLOSED. The Norman Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance to identify a suspect in a reported assault that occurred in the 1700 block of W. Robinson Street at about 7 p.m. on August 23, 2016.

The female victim reports that she left her residence unlocked for about five minutes to retrieve her laundry from a nearby laundry facility. She stated that she returned to find an unknown man armed with a knife had entered her residence and was hiding in a closet. The man reportedly held her against her will and physically assaulted her for several minutes before leaving the residence.

The suspect is described as a 20-year-old white male, 5 feet 9 inches tall with a light brown or blonde bowl-style haircut and slightly overweight appearance. He was wearing a yellow t-shirt depicting the video game character “Yoshi” with cargo shorts or pants at the time of the incident.
